Asna Wajid is a graduate from of the University of Warwick where she studied Politics and International Studies and has recently gone on to complete a MSc in Global Governance and Ethics from University College London. Asna completed her master’s dissertation on climate change vulnerability and how rural communities are suffering the consequences of ecological degradation. Asna is particularly interested in the political economy of international development and politics

Tareq Khursheed Qambar- Liaison and Head of Business Development

Tareq is our Liaison and Head of Business Development. He is currently a final year student at Bangor University in Banking and Finance w/ Islamic FInance Diploma. Tareq brings years of startup experience & Knowledge allowing us to further envision and fine-tune BRG’s organizational goals. Tareq aims to also contribute to our content by writing about finance related topics in the near future.

Engy Abdelnasser-Junior Researcher

Engy Abdelnasser is a graduate of the American University in Cairo with a double major in Communication and Media Arts and Political Science. Engy is currently studying Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies at School of Advanced Study, University of London. Engy is passionate about volunteering for different causes like environmental and social causes.

Khaled Bastaki- Head of Research

Khaled Bastaki is a graduate from the University of Warwick in a Masters of Science in Economics at the University of Warwick. His main interests relate to economic policy, law and politics. His current research relates to dynamic modelling of the economy and applied microeconometrics.

Baland Al Rabayah- Director

Baland Al Rabayah is the co-founder and Director of BRG. He currently holds a Diploma in Accounting and Finance from Bangor University, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting and Finance from Bangor University, and a Masters degree in Applied Economics from the University of Strathclyde. Baland will begin his PhD studies at the University of Strathclyde in 2022 looking at the economic effects of renewables on the GCC economies (energy transition). Baland’s interests are in Environmental, Energy, Public Policy, and Health Economics.
